Were you also a volunteer or in association leadership during that time? You may qualify for REALTOR® Emeritus!
The emeritus status recognizes REALTOR® members who have a collective period of 40 years of membership and have completed at least one year of service at the national association level. For applications filed in 2021, you can also meet the one-year service requirement through service at the state or local level. Beginning in 2020, NAR will accept only national service to fulfill the service requirement.

Certified REALTOR® Emeritus members do not pay dues to the national association and are exempt from the NAR Code of Ethics Training requirement. Applications are online at nar.realtor and must be filled out by the association. The dues waiver does not take effect until the following 'dues season.'
